Miami Art Institutions: Prices

(This is an ongoing presentation we will continue to edit. Open to suggestions.)

Miami is one of the most compelling contemporary art communities in the world. It’s diverse, vast, and constantly reinventing itself. There are so many venues, however, that many institutions that host contemporary exhibitions are omitted from online lists. The aim of this presentation is to create a more comprehensive listing, based on local perspective.

The one negative that stood out was the price. Seeing Miami’s art is expensive. Visiting all of Miami’s major institutions will cost approximately $150.00. By comparison city cards for the following cities are Barcelona/$70.00, Florence/$95.00, and Paris/$85.00. In Paris, that’s over 50 museums for $85.00 for 6 days.

We did not mention any private galleries in order to avoid any conflict of interest.
