John William Bailly is a French American artist and professor. Bailly has taught courses on the culture and history of France, Italy, Spain, and the US for over twenty years in the FIU Honors College. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from Yale University and has been awarded two Excellence in Teaching awards as well as a European Union grant for course development.
His role as Faculty Director of France, Italy and Spain study abroad at Florida International University enabled him to develop a local’s perspective specifically of Barcelona, Cinque Terre, Cordoba, Firenze, Fontainebleau, Granada, Lyon, Madrid, Miami, Normandy, Paris, Pisa, Roma, Sevilla, Siena, Tivoli, Toledo, Venezia, and Versailles. Although his expertise focuses on Western Europe and South Florida, Bailly is able to lecture on a wide variety of topics.
Bailly has led walking lectures in all of the above cities.
