FIU HONORS COLLEGE
FRANCE STUDY ABROAD
JW BAILLY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Students are to compare and contrast themselves to a historical figure interred at Pere Lachaise Cemetery: examine commonalities, highlight differences, and explore ambiguities. Students should particularly explore how the legacy of the chosen person relates to the pursuit of universal human rights or innovation. The innovation can be any discipline-the arts or science.
FORMAT
When in the appropriate location to the figure in the cemetery, each student will make a brief (5 minutes) oral presentation to the class about their selected figure. In addition, students must submit a digital Pere Lachaise as Text version of their project.
